THE REAL REASON CANNABIS HAS BEEN OUTLAWED HAS NOTHING
TO DO WITH ITS EFFECTS ON THE MIND AND BODY.

MARIJUANA is not DANGEROUS. Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people.

The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies.

Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp plant...as you will read. The facts cited here, with references, are generally verifiable in the Encyclopedia Britannica which was printed on hemp paper for 150 years:

* All schoolbooks were made from hemp or flax paper until the 1880s; Hemp Paper Reconsidered, Jack Frazier, 1974.

* It was LEGAL TO PAY TAXES WITH HEMP in America from 1631 until the early 1800s; LA Times, Aug. 12, 1981.

* REFUSING TO GROW HEMP in America during the 17th and 18th Centuries WAS AGAINST THE LAW! You could be jailed in Virginia for refusing to grow hemp from 1763 to 1769; Hemp in Colonial Virginia, G. M. Herdon.

* George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers GREW HEMP; Washington and Jefferson Diaries. Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.

* Benjamin Franklin owned one of the first paper mills in America and it processed hemp. Also, the War of 1812 was fought over hemp. Napoleon wanted to cut off Moscow's export to England; Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer.

* For thousands of years, 90% of all ships' sails and rope were made from hemp. The word 'canvas' is Dutch for cannabis; Webster's New World Dictionary.

* 80% of all textiles, fabrics, clothes, linen, drapes, bed sheets, etc. were made from hemp until the 1820s with the introduction of the cotton gin.

* The first Bibles, maps, charts, Betsy Ross's flag, the first drafts of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were made from hemp; U.S. Government Archives.

* The first crop grown in many states was hemp. 1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons. Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th Century; State Archives.

* Oldest known records of hemp farming go back 5000 years in China, although hemp industrialization probably goes back to ancient Egypt.

* Rembrants, Gainsboroughs, Van Goghs as well as most early canvas paintings were principally painted on hemp linen.

* In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees. Plans were in the works to implement such programs; Department of Agriculture

* Quality paints and varnishes were made from hemp seed oil until 1937. 58,000 tons of hemp seeds were used in America for paint products in 1935; Sherman Williams Paint Co. testimony before Congress against the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act.

* Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONTRUCTED FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil,' had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel; Popular Mechanics, 1941.

* Hemp called 'Billion Dollar Crop.' It was the first time a cash crop had a business potential to exceed a billion dollars; Popular Mechanics, Feb., 1938.

* Mechanical Engineering Magazine (Feb. 1938) published an article entitled 'The Most Profitable and Desirable Crop that Can be Grown.' It stated that if hemp was cultivated using 20th Century technology, it would be the single largest agricultural crop in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

The following information comes directly from the United States Department of Agriculture's 1942 14-minute film encouraging and instructing 'patriotic American farmers' to grow 350,000 acres of hemp each year for the war effort:

'...(When) Grecian temples were new, hemp was already old in the service of mankind. For thousands of years, even then, this plant had been grown for cordage and cloth in China and elsewhere in the East. For centuries prior to about 1850, all the ships that sailed the western seas were rigged with hempen rope and sails. For the sailor, no less than the hangman, hemp was indispensable...

...Now with Philippine and East Indian sources of hemp in the hands of the Japanese...American hemp must meet the needs of our Army and Navy as well as of our industries...

...the Navy's rapidly dwindling reserves. When that is gone, American hemp will go on duty again; hemp for mooring ships; hemp for tow lines; hemp for tackle and gear; hemp for countless naval uses both on ship and shore. Just as in the days when Old Ironsides sailed the seas victorious with her hempen shrouds and hempen sails. Hemp for victory!'

Certified proof from the Library of Congress; found by the research of Jack Herer, refuting claims of other government agencies that the 1942 USDA film 'Hemp for Victory' did not exist.

Hemp cultivation and production do not harm the environment. The USDA Bulletin #404 concluded that hemp produces 4 times as much pulp with at least 4 to 7 times less pollution. From Popular Mechanics, Feb. 1938:

'It has a short growing season...It can be grown in any state...The long roots penetrate and break the soil to leave it in perfect condition for the next year's crop. The dense shock of leaves, 8 to 12 feet above the ground, chokes out weeds.
...hemp, this new crop can add immeasurably to American agriculture and industry.'

In the 1930s, innovations in farm machinery would have caused an industrial revolution when applied to hemp. This single resource could have created millions of new jobs generating thousands of quality products. Hemp, if not made illegal, would have brought America out of the Great Depression.

William Randolph Hearst (Citizen Kane) and the Hearst Paper Manufacturing Division of Kimberly Clark owned vast acreage of timberlands. The Hearst Company supplied most paper products. Patty Hearst's grandfather, a destroyer of nature for his own personal profit, stood to lose billions because of hemp.

In 1937, Dupont patented the processes to make plastics from oil and coal. Dupont's Annual Report urged stockholders to invest in its new petrochemical division. Synthetics such as plastics, cellophane, celluloid, methanol, nylon, rayon, Dacron, etc., could now be made from oil. Natural hemp industrialization would have ruined over 80% of Dupont's business. 

THE CONSPIRACY

Andrew Mellon became Hoover's Secretary of the Treasury and Dupont's primary investor. He appointed his future nephew-in-law, Harry J. Anslinger, to head the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

Secret meetings were held by these financial tycoons. Hemp was declared dangerous and a threat to their billion dollar enterprises. For their dynasties to remain intact, hemp had to go. These men took an obscure Mexican slang word: 'marihuana' and pushed it into the consciousness of America.

MEDIA MANIPULATION

A media blitz of 'yellow journalism' raged in the late 1920s and 1930s. Hearst's newspapers ran stories emphasizing the horrors of marihuana. The menace of marihuana made headlines. Readers learned that it was responsible for everything from car accidents to loose morality.

Films like 'Reefer Madness' (1936), 'Marihuana: Assassin of Youth' (1935) and 'Marihuana: The Devil's Weed' (1936) were propaganda designed by these industrialists to create an enemy. Their purpose was to gain public support so that anti-marihuana laws could be passed.

Examine the following quotes from 'The Burning Question' aka REEFER MADNESS:

• a violent narcotic.
• acts of shocking violence.
• incurable insanity.
• soul-destroying effects.
• under the influence of the drug he killed his entire family with an ax.
• more vicious, more deadly even than these soul-destroying drugs (heroin, cocaine) is the menace of marihuana!

Reefer Madness did not end with the usual 'the end.' The film concluded with these words plastered on the screen: TELL YOUR CHILDREN.

In the 1930s, people were very naive; even to the point of ignorance. The masses were like sheep waiting to be led by the few in power. They did not challenge authority. If the news was in print or on the radio, they believed it had to be true. They told their children and their children grew up to be the parents of the baby-boomers.

On April 14, 1937, the Prohibitive Marihuana Tax Law or the bill that outlawed hemp was directly brought to the House Ways and Means Committee. This committee is the only one that can introduce a bill to the House floor without it being debated by other committees. The Chairman of the Ways and Means, Robert Doughton, was a Dupont supporter. He insured that the bill would pass Congress.

Dr. James Woodward, a physician and attorney, testified too late on behalf of the American Medical Association. He told the committee that the reason the AMA had not denounced the Marihuana Tax Law sooner was that the Association had just discovered that marihuana was hemp.

Few people, at the time, realized that the deadly menace they had been reading about on Hearst's front pages was in fact passive hemp. The AMA understood cannabis to be a MEDICINE found in numerous healing products sold over the last hundred years.

In September of 1937, hemp became illegal. The most useful crop known became a drug and our planet has been suffering ever since.

Congress banned hemp because it was said to be the most violence-causing drug known. Anslinger, head of the Drug Commission for 31 years, promoted the idea that marihuana made users act extremely violent. In the 1950s, under the Communist threat of McCarthyism, Anslinger now said the exact opposite. Marijuana will pacify you so much that soldiers would not want to fight.

Today, our planet is in desperate trouble. Earth is suffocating as large tracts of rain forests disappear. Pollution, poisons and chemicals are killing people. These great problems could be reversed if we industrialized hemp. Natural biomass could provide all of the planet's energy needs that are currently supplied by fossil fuels. We have consumed 80% of our oil and gas reserves. We need a renewable resource. Hemp could be the solution to soaring gas prices.
 

THE WONDER PLANT

Hemp has a higher quality fiber than wood fiber. Far fewer caustic chemicals are required to make paper from hemp than from trees. Hemp paper does not turn yellow and is very durable. The plant grows quickly to maturity in a season where trees take a lifetime.

ALL PLASTIC PRODUCTS SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP SEED OIL. Hempen plastics are biodegradable! Over time, they would break down and not harm the environment. Oil-based plastics, the ones we are very familiar with, help ruin nature; they do not break down and will do great harm in the future. The process to produce the vast array of natural (hempen) plastics will not ruin the rivers as Dupont and other petrochemical companies have done. Ecology does not fit in with the plans of the Oil Industry and the political machine. Hemp products are safe and natural.

MEDICINES SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP. We should go back to the days when the AMA supported cannabis cures. 'Medical Marijuana' is given out legally to only a handful of people while the rest of us are forced into a system that relies on chemicals. Pot is only healthy for the human body.

WORLD HUNGER COULD END. A large variety of food products can be generated from hemp. The seeds contain one of the highest sources of protein in nature. ALSO: They have two essential fatty acids that clean your body of cholesterol. These essential fatty acids are not found anywhere else in nature! Consuming pot seeds is the best thing you could do for your body. Eat uncooked hemp seeds.

CLOTHES SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP. Hemp clothing is extremely strong and durable over time. You could hand clothing, made from pot, down to your grandchildren. Today, there are American companies that make hemp clothing; usually 50% hemp. Hemp fabrics should be everywhere. Instead, they are almost underground. Superior hemp products are not allowed to advertise on fascist television. Kentucky, once the top hemp producing state, made it ILLEGAL TO WEAR hemp clothing! Can you imagine being thrown into jail for wearing quality jeans?

The world is crazy...but that does not mean you have to join the insanity. Get together. Spread the news. Tell people, and that includes your children, the truth. Use hemp products. Eliminate the word 'marijuana.' Realize the history that created it. Make it politically incorrect to say or print the M-word. Fight against the propaganda (designed to favor the agenda of the super rich) and the bullshit. Hemp must be utilized in the future. We need a clean energy source to save our planet. INDUSTRIALIZE HEMP!

The liquor, tobacco and oil companies fund more than a million dollars a day to Partnership for a Drug-Free America and other similar agencies. We have all seen their commercials. Now, their motto is: ‘It's more dangerous than we thought.’ Lies from the powerful corporations, that began with Hearst, are still alive and well today.

The brainwashing continues. Now, the commercials say: If you buy a joint, you contribute to murders and gang wars. The latest anti-pot commercials say: If you buy a joint...you are promoting TERRORISM! The new enemy (terrorism) has paved the road to brainwash you any way THEY see fit.

There is only one enemy; the friendly people you pay your taxes to; the war-makers and nature destroyers. With your funding, they are killing the world right in front of your eyes. HALF A MILLION DEATHS EACH YEAR ARE CAUSED BY TOBACCO. HALF A MILLION DEATHS EACH YEAR ARE CAUSED BY ALCOHOL. NO ONE HAS EVER, EVER DIED FROM SMOKING POT!! In the entire history of the human race, not one death can be attributed to cannabis. Our society has outlawed grass but condones the use of the KILLERS: TOBACCO and ALCOHOL. Hemp should be declassified and placed in DRUG stores to relieve stress. Hardening and constriction of the arteries are bad; but hemp usage actually enlarges the arteries...which is a healthy condition. We have been so conditioned to think that: Smoking is harmful. That is NOT the case for passive pot.

Ingesting THC, hemp's active agent, has a positive effect; relieving asthma and glaucoma. A joint tends to alleviate the nausea caused by chemotherapy. You are able to eat on hemp. This is a healthy state of being.

{One personal note: During the pregnancy of my wife, she was having some difficulty gaining weight. We were in the hospital. A nurse called us to one side and said: ‘Off the record, if you smoke pot...you'd get something called the munchies and you’ll gain weight.' I swear that is a true story}.

The stereotype for a pothead is similar to a drunk, bubble-brain. Yet, the truth is one’s creative abilities can be enhanced under its influence. The perception of time slightly slows and one can become more sensitive. You can more appreciate all arts; be closer to nature and generally FEEL more under the influence of cannabis. It is, in fact, the exact opposite state of mind and body as the drunken state. You can be more aware with pot.

The pot plant is an ALIEN plant. There is physical evidence that cannabis is not like any other plant on this planet. One could conclude that it was brought here for the benefit of humanity. Hemp is the ONLY plant where the males appear one way and the females appear very different, physically! No one ever speaks of males and females in regard to the plant kingdom because plants do not show their sexes; except for cannabis. To determine what sex a certain, normal, Earthly plant is: You have to look internally, at its DNA. A male blade of grass (physically) looks exactly like a female blade of grass. The hemp plant has an intense sexuality. Growers know to kill the males before they fertilize the females. Yes, folks...the most potent pot comes from 'horny females.'

The reason this amazing, very sophisticated, ET plant from the future is illegal has nothing to do with how it physically affects us…..

…POT IS ILLEGAL BECAUSE BILLIONAIRES WANT TO REMAIN BILLIONAIRES!

PS: I think the word ‘DRUGS’ should not be used as an umbrella-word that covers all chemical agents. Drugs have come to be known as something BAD. Are you aware there are LEGAL drugstores?! Yep, in every city. Unbelievable. Each so-called drug should be considered individually. Cannabis is a medicine and not a drug. We should DARE to speak the TRUTH no matter what the law is.

St. Cory Aquino of Hacienda Luisita

Recently we've heard that there were some group suggesting ex-accidental president, Cory Aquino to be canonize as a Saint. This bad news send shivers at my spine. Simple laymen would readily ask "What did she do to be crown saint?" 

   Well, I've just found something on Facebook that there was actually a page with that brand. It was shocking but hey you can easily check this fact since these were just recent events. (Here's the link on that FB page)

‘Philippine Air Lines Stocks to Nephews’

Cory approved in January 1992 the sale of 67% of the stocks of the Philippine Air Lines (PAL) to an investment group headed by her relatives, composed of one of her Tanjuatco nephews and three of her Cojuangco nephews. The sale resulted in a loss of USD 300-million plus for the Filipino people. The Philippine government, through the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), owned the shares. And worse, her nephews did not even have the money to pay for the airline stocks. They borrowed the money that they used to pay the GSIS from three Philippine government-owned banks, even using the PAL stocks as collateral.

‘Philippine Air Lines Building Scandal’

“The PAL Scandal,” where Cory authorized in 1992 the sale of the PAL Building in San Francisco, California. It resulted, according to the column of the late journalist Louie Beltran, into a USD 6-million loss to the national airline. Cory did not charge Mr. Beltran with libel on this issue about the PAL Building. She, however, did file a libel case against Mr. Beltran and his publisher, Maximo V. Soliven on a separate issue, when Beltran wrote that Mrs. Aquino “hid under her bed during a coup d’etat attempt at the presidential palace in Manila.”

‘Bargain Sale of Companies to Lopa’

The assets of the Marcoses, the Romualdezes and their cronies were supposed to have been sequestered by the new Aquino administration, but Kokoy Romualdez’s (Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s brother in law) 38 companies, which were worth billions of pesos, were not turned over to the Presidential Commission on Good Government. Cory instead during her first months in office, permitted the transfer of these 38 companies to her own brother-in-law, Ricardo “Baby” Lopa. What’s worst, was the fact that all 38 companies were bought back by Lopa during the transfer for the price of only USD 227,000.

‘Philippine Long Distance Company to Nephews’

The same case happened with the ownership of the Philippine Long Distance Company. Instead of sequestering the company for the Philippine government (as it was then controlled by the Marcos cronies), she returned the billion-dollar company to her Cojuangco nephews. She claimed that her nephews were illegally eased out by Mr. Marcos. The truth was that the Marcos cronies, whether their money were ill-gotten or not, paid the Cojuangcos the prevailing market-stock prices during the sale of equity that happened between them at the time when Marcos was still president.

‘Re-negotiation of Marcos’ Japanese Loans’

Cory approved the re-negotiation of the loans that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. obtained from Japan. The administration of Mrs. Aquino agreed that the loans would be paid in Japanese yen, rather than in U.S. currency that former Marcos negotiated. This simple change in currency resulted in a USD 5-billion increase in the loan principal.

‘Refusal to Give Hacienda Luisita to Farmers’

Cory publicly promised in 1986 that Hacienda Luisita will be distributed to the farmers. However, in 1987, she issued Presidential Proclamation 131 and Executive Order No. 229 just days before her legislative powers were going to revert back to Congress, to include a provision in the Land Reform program for a “Stock Distribution Option”, which allows landowners to comply with the Land Reform Law without actually giving land to the farmers. Hacienda Luisita of course took this new option, and thus was not redistributed to the farmers.

‘Double Cross of Doy Laurel’

Cory had promised to Doy Laurel that she would let him run the government as Prime Minister after Marcos was ousted, as Cory had no experience in politics. However, in March 1986 she issued Presidential Proclamation No. 3 declaring a revolutionary government, and dissolving the 1973 Constitution. This nullified Laurel’s position as Prime Minister as the Parliament was abolished. This prompted Laurel to break ties with the Aquino regime later.

‘Protecting Hacienda Luisita’s Interests’

Cory continued to protect Hacienda Luisita, even firing Miriam Defensor Santiago from her post at the Department of Agrarian Reform after she told the press her opinion that Cory should inhibit herself as chair of the Presidential Agrarian Reform Council (PARC), which was tasked to make the final decision on Hacienda Luisita’s application for the “Stock Distribution Option” (see section on ‘Refusal to Give Hacienda Luisita to Farmers’ above).

‘Garchitorena Land Scam’

In 1988, a foreclosed property of the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) was sold to Sharp International Marketing for P3.8 million. Before the sale was closed, Sharp tried to sell the same property to the government for P56 million. The sale was eventually approved by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), but only after the price was inflated further to P65 million. The financier of the scam was Romeo Santos, an associate of Cory’s brother, Peping Cojuangco. He was also Cory’s campaign manager in Bicol.

So where do we begin that awareness? I have these discussed before from my earlier article but for now I don't have much time to talk about it so I'll just let you read an unsettling findings...

Autism caused by vaccination
A new study has confirmed a definite causal link between the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine and autism - and it has used the same data employed by an earlier study that governments have relied on to deny the link. The vaccine increases the risk of autism by 850 per cent, or nearly 500 per cent if we allow for greater diagnostic awareness, one of the major arguments put forward for the sudden increase in autism. This conclusion contradicts that of the Madsen study carried out in 2002, which found no link, and which governments have gratefully clung to ever since. So why the enormous discrepancy between the two trials? Autism is usually diagnosed only at age 5 or older, or it is in Denmark from where the data for both studies has been gleaned. The Madsen study monitored the progress of vaccinated children in Denmark only for four years, so it's hardly surprising that few, if any, cases of autism were established. Less severe cases, which might have become apparent even later, were certainly not included in the findings. The new study, carried out by American paediatrician Dr Fouad Yazbak and Dr G S Goldman, tracks levels of autism in Denmark from 1980 - seven years before the MMR vaccine was introduced in Denmark - until 2002. Prevalence of autism among children aged from 5 to 9 stood at 8.38 cases per 100,000 in the pre-vaccine years of 1980 to 1986, and then rose to 71.43 cases by the year 2000. Dr Samy Suissa of McGill University had similar problems with the Madsen study. When he analysed the statistics he discovered that the rate of autism increases to a high of 27.3 cases per 100,000 two years after vaccination compared with just 1.45 cases in non-vaccinated children. The Craft in Boston Bombing

When it happens in an American soil of course its Big News. Understandably the media hype would be exaggerated because after all it's The United State of America. But the over-reaction of the US government itself made the terrorist agenda successful. 
   We must recall the successes and failure of 9/11 attack because America find ways to wage war on Afghanistan and Iraq plus reinforcement of so-called security measure. Anyone who is at the seat of the government can manipulate the law for the sake of peace and order.

   It's okay for me to over-emphasize a news item when national security is at stake but are we really getting all the details. In Boston Marathon bombing I've just realized two main ingredients to brainwash its citizen: Over-reaction and Censorship. 
   I don't need someone like Alex Jones or Pamela Rae to convince me that the Boston bombing is another Illuminati conspiracy. The overwhelming photo proof is hard to ignore...
  Mainstream Media over-drive is doing quite well to catch our attention to victims traggic misfortune but we are not getting the real story...or at least the other side of the story. 
   At this point, the more that I believe those conspiracy theorist allegations are true. If US government is not hiding anything why there is an intentional hiding of evidences. In real Police work these evidence should be given special attention but we get none of those. 
   If there is an explaination to these photos then why we get none. And why these photos are not allowed for publication? 
   Tell me what are the danger if these photos are shown to the public?

   Astonishingly, there is not a single mention of "The Craft" in any mainstream media outlet but Alex Jones and his staff were able to provide us of numerous photos of these so-called "Black ops" roaming around before and during the bombing. The allegations of an inside jobs by victims are also proof that are ignored. The photo evidence is still unanswered by US officials and worst there is a media black out. What's wrong with these photos?  
   Mainstream media wont tell us that Afghanistan people have their own daily doses of bombing. These are not called as terrorism but branded as Freedom fighters. I symphatized with the victims but I think we must be fair. 

   Dan Bidondi, an Infowars.com reporter based on the East Coast, attempted to show photos of "The Craft" operatives during a public press conference and was immediately censored by government agents holding up clipboards to block his photos. (Source)

   Anyway, even evil activity has its reason too...While the world watches closely what happened in Boston...House passes CISPA cybersecurity bill. But it doesn't mean that their only purpose why they scripted the bombing is to sneak in CISPA, I still believe there is a greater reason for all these.  Let's be vigilant on days to come.

Is ‘treason’ the real crime, or simple incompetence?

An article I wrote on this page last week suggested cluelessness on Sabah, confusion on Jabidah, and impotence on China on the part of the Aquino government.

The article saw instant reprints in some Filipino papers in Canada and the United States, went viral online, and drew intense partisan reactions here and abroad.

Some found it “unthinkable” that one could write about President B. S. Aquino III’s inability to respond to pressing national concerns in words which no one of any official standing has dared to use. They thought it “an offense against the King,” which should never have been permitted and should therefore be censured.

They couldn’t show that false conclusions were drawn from false premises, so they tried instead to drown the writer in a torrent of verbal abuse. That is a risk all serious writers are forced to accept.

The stronger reaction, however, came from those who agreed that Aquino has done nothing to protect the national interest, but criticized the writer anyway for treating him with “kid gloves.”

“It isn’t quite true the Sabah madness is just because of official ignorance, ineptitude, and incompetence,” they said. “It is the result of a deliberate sellout to the Malaysian government, and nothing less than ‘treasonable conduct’ is involved,” they said.

They repeated an allegation made earlier by Hermes Dorado, a retired Filipino foreign service officer who used to handle territorial issues at the Department of Foreign Affairs, at a university forum, that the sellout was initiated not by B.S. Aquino III, but rather by his celebrated parents—the late former senator Benigno S. “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. and the late former president Corazon C. Aquino as early as 30 years ago.

Dorado claims that on Ninoy’s fateful journey from his three years of self-exile in the U.S., which ended in his assassination upon his arrival at the Manila International Airport on Aug. 21, 1983, he stopped by Singapore, then motored to Kuala Lumpur in order to speak to then-Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad about Sabah. Ninoy reportedly sought Mahathir’s help in bringing down then-President Ferdinand Marcos from power in exchange for dropping the Philippine Sabah claim once Marcos was ousted.

This allegation is not supported by any documentary evidence. But Dorado says he was at the Philippine embassy in Bangkok at the time, in the company of then-Ambassador Rafael Ileto, the Philippine ambassador to Thailand, who had been tasked to monitor Ninoy’s movement as soon as he landed in Singapore. He says he got his information directly from Ileto.

No question about Ileto’s credibility or competence. Ileto was one of the most distinguished and honorable men to come from the military and the foreign service in maybe 50 years. Educated at West Point, he rose to become a major general and vice chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He founded the Scout Rangers, and was the only member of the high command who refused to endorse Marcos’s proclamation of martial law in 1972.

Impressed by his integrity and spunk but unable to name him chief of staff, Marcos named him ambassador to Iran and Turkey instead. That was in 1975. In 1980, he was posted to Thailand. He died in 2003 without revealing anything about his supposed monitoring of Ninoy’s alleged activities in Kuala Lumpur.

Outside of Dorado’s assertion, there is nothing to prove that Ileto made the statement attributed to him. Neither is there any independent confirmation of the alleged meeting between Ninoy and Mahathir, much less of the reported deal to bring down Marcos in exchange for the dropping of the Sabah claim. But Dorado’s allegation continues to play onYouTube, without a word from Malacañang.

It is no secret that for years, Malaysia provided training and logistical support to the Moro National Liberation Front. It has also been expecting the Philippines to drop its territorial claim, in keeping with Marcos’s statement that he would “take steps” to remove the Sabah claim as a source of continued misunderstanding between Manila and Kuala Lumpur.

I was present at the 1977 summit conference of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations hosted by Malaysia’s third prime minister, Tun Hussein Onn, in Kuala Lumpur when Marcos dropped that bombshell. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, who was the next speaker, was so taken aback that he said Marcos had just captured the world headlines, and there was nothing left for him to do but to tear up his prepared statement. Nevertheless, Marcos never followed through on his statement.

It is equally well known that Ninoy had close personal contacts in Malaysia, whose sentiments he apparently read well. While in detention during martial law, he offered to serve as Marcos’s special emissary to the MNLF and the Islamic countries supporting the MNLF rebellion. However, Marcos never seriously considered the offer.

Ninoy was also no stranger to the idea of foreign governments and operatives interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. In 1957, as a 25-year-old hotshot mayor of his hometown Concepcion, Tarlac, Ninoy undertook secret operations for the CIA during the so-called Permesta rebellion in Indonesia. The rebellion was supported by the CIA and had its center in Manado. It was led by a group of colonels, including one who had resigned his position as Indonesian military attaché in Washington, D.C. to become a general in the Permesta army.

A book written by the American couple Audrey Kahin and George Mc T Kahin, and quoting the late Senator Jose Wright Diokno as its source (Subversion as Foreign Policy: The Secret Eisenhower and Dulles Debacle in Indonesia), says Ninoy set up a clandestine radio station in Indonesia for the rebels, shipped them guns from a third country, and opened up his wife’s family’s sugar plantation, Hacienda Luisita, in Tarlac, as a training ground for the Indonesian rebel pilots.

The rebellion ended after the Indonesian air force destroyed most of the rebel B-26 planes on Manado, and one B-26 plane was shot down and its pilot captured by Sukarno’s forces. The pilot turned out to be an American CIA agent named Allen Pope. Upon interrogation, he exposed the CIA’s deep involvement in the rebellion, forcing the US to abandon its operations, and leaving Ninoy and other foreign agents holding the proverbial empty bag.

Given that early personal experience, Ninoy may have had no aversion in asking Mahathir to interfere in Philippine affairs just to help him bring down Marcos.

Whether or not Mahathir took the bait is not known, but given Malaysia’s desire to see the Philippine claim to Sabah dropped, it is not unreasonable to suspect he did. At that time the usual international actors already appeared inclined to support a regime change in the Philippines.

Ninoy’s untimely death rendered any agreement with Mahatir—assuming there was, in fact, one—unimplementable. But Dorado makes bold to claim that in 1986, the late Corazon Aquino, Ninoy’s widow, made good her husband’s end of the bargain after the EDSA uprising installed her as revolutionary president.

Proof of this, he says, is the deletion of a long phrase in the 1987 Constitution that made Sabah part of the “national territory” of the Philippines.

Under the 1973 Constitution, the national territory “comprises the Philippine archipelago, with all the islands and waters embraced therein, and all the other territories belonging to the Philippines by historic right or legal title, including the territorial sea, the air space, the subsoil, the sea-bed, the insular shelves, and the other submarine areas over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction. The waters around, between and connecting the islands of the archipelago, irrespective of their breadth and dimensions, form part of the internal waters of the Philippines.”

The phrase “all the other territories belonging to the Philippines by historic right or legal title” is deemed to include Sabah, the sovereign title to which had been ceded to the Philippine government in 1973 by the Sultan of Sulu, its original owner and sovereign. However, this phrase was deleted in the 1987 Constitution drafted by Cory’s appointive constitutional commission.

Under this Constitution, the national territory “comprises the Philippine archipelago, with all the islands and waters embraced therein, and all other territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction, consisting of its territorial, fluvial, and aerial domains, including its territorial sea, the seabed, the subsoil, the insular shelves, and other submarine areas.

The waters around, between, and connecting the islands of the archipelago, regardless of their breadth and dimensions, form part of the internal waters of the Philippines.”

The two texts are nearly identical, except for the deleted portion of Article I of the 1973 Constitution, which has been replaced in Article I of the 1987 Constitution with the words, “all other territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction.”

Critics of the “Cory Constitution” argue that the deletion of the phrase in the “Marcos Constitution” effectively removes Sabah as part of the national territory, while defenders of the same argue that the phrase “all other territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction” in fact affirms Philippine sovereignty and jurisdiction over the territory.

Malaysian legal analysts, however, favor the wording of the “Cory Constitution” as against that of the “Marcos Constitution.” To what extent was Cory Aquino involved in that rewording? This is not known.

Although the commission that drafted the Constitution was supposed to have been independent, it seems inconceivable that the commissioners could have embarked on such a major change without briefing the President or securing her consent.

But whether in fact she may have been completely innocent, the accusation of “treasonable conduct” is now leveled against her and her late husband and their bachelor president-son, rather than at her handpicked commissioners. The burden of clearing their names now lies with B.S. III. And so far he has responded with silence.

Outside of an impeachment process, where treason may be alleged as a ground for seeking the President’s removal, there is no legal forum in which the charge of “treasonable conduct” may be heard at this point. The Senate, which is tasked to look after the conduct of foreign policy, may not be non-partisan or competent enough to conduct the necessary inquiry.

Thus Dorado’s charge, propagated and enlarged by continued repetition, will remain in the public domain.

This is not the first time the Aquino name will be tainted with the charge of treason. Ninoy’s father and B.S. III’s grandfather, Benigno Aquino, Sr., alias Igno, was charged with treason for collaborating with the enemy during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.

As Speaker of the National Assembly, and vice-president and director-general of the infamous Kalibapi (Kapisanan ng Paglilingkod sa Bagong Pilipinas— Association for Service to the New Philippines) in the Japanese-controlled government, Igno delivered speeches praising Japan, criticizing the US, and denouncing Filipinos who refused to collaborate with the Japanese.

After the war, Igno was arrested and jailed by the U.S. military in Japan, then extradited to the Philippines to stand trial before the People’s Court for treason. But he died of a heart attack before his trial could begin.

This part of Philippine history is unremembered by the generation that survived the last war, and unknown to, and unread by the young who have been mesmerized by the political myths and fables spun by the oversize English-language tabloids and celebrity-oriented television.

But the questions being raised about the Aquinos’ (father, mother and son) real position on Sabah could finally shatter the veil of generational indifference that has long covered the naked truths of our history from the young, and finally expose to the light of day the quislings, charlatans, opportunists, and frauds who have been posturing as patriots, heroes and champions of our people.

   This reminded me of the statement from the House of Theosophy...
