Selective Acceptance

Once again it is quite frustrating to hear arguments...Just try to listen to people arguing. They are not actually listening to each other! 

   Human nature is like that. We only listen to  one truth...and that truth is our own truth. Why can't they just surrender to The Truth. 

   People always try to outwit each other...Life is not about who have the best reason. 

   Thanks that I've already given up my wisdom or to be precise my knowledge and understanding. That is why I've appropriately called my blog Wisdom of a Fool. I already let the reasoning of God overtake me...or to be honest is trying as much as I can to...

Proverbs 3:5-6
 ⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
⁶ in all your ways submit to him,
   and he will make your paths straight.

   Oh yes sometimes I still use my own human understanding to decipher and decide on things but often times they are lacking and even worthless. People can be so proud about their educations, their own understanding, but King Solomon said "Everything is meaningless! Meaningless..." Imagine that?! the wisest person that ever lived even consider that his knowledge is not sufficient. 

   No matter what mental aerobics we do, we can not outwit God. So why argue with Him? People still try to write another gospel. They still search for wisdom somewhere else. They look at the stars or horoscope for answers. They asked Feng Shui masters for good luck. They kneel and dance to all kinds of gods and goddesses. 

   Some would even try to seek God in nature and said, they found God in nature. They just want to do what they prefer to do. But first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Where do you seek? In the mountains? In the field? In remote area? In meditation? In Yoga? In Charity?

   Those are nothing but meaningless search. When you search for God, you search Him in.....

    Where?

    In Jesus who said: I am the way, the truth, and the life...

    Do you think you can come to the Father by simply joining a religion? Religion is even meaningless not unless you have TRUE relationship with the Father. 

   Yes! People is selective in hearing what they want to hear. They even select the Bible verse that fits them. People will skip the correction parts. 

   People will re-invent GOD! Who will re-invent someone that already declared The Beginning and the End?

    UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH!

   What rock? Is Jesus telling here that Peter is the church or the one who will build the church? No! Jesus is mentioning the faith of Peter. The faith like a rock! That is the kind of faith that Jesus wants from us. That is the faith that can build a church. A church inside you! 

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? -- 1 Corinthians 3:16

   If you have reach this point, I know you have not speed-read what I am saying. People will speed read if they see parts that does not fit them. That is selective acceptance...


   Finally I understand Jesus message on The Mount...are we really throwing sacred things when we try to convert a person to our faith? I mean, no matter what we say to a hard headed atheist it will just pass like thin air.  

"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.  -- Matthew 7:6
